Update as of March 23, 2011

Thanks to everybody that sent feedback about BookCampTO2011 our way. It looks like it is going to happen -- likely in the summer rather than the spring. Stay tuned for a date. And we have some new ideas and some new organizers, so other changes are on the way. Needless to say this won't be just another conference. It is going to be amazing.

If you want to get in touch, you can still contact us at the email address above. Otherwise follow this space or the twitter account for news.

Update as of March 1, 2011

Hey Folks,

It's coming up on the time for BookCamp Toronto -- the community event for authors, publishers, and the like.

As an industry we are in a much different place than we were when BookCamp happened in 2009.

And as organizers we are also doing new things and have other commitments.

So what we are wondering is...

  • is there still a place for this event on the publishing industry calendar in Toronto? Does it still have value? Should we run a BCTO11 or not?
  • and secondly if you do think there is value, what is it? We would love to re-energize the event with new ideas and new people. But we need to know where those opportunities are.

Let us know in the comments, or on twitter  (http://twitter.com/#!/BookCampTo #BCTO11), or by emailing bookcampTO at the gmail.com what you think.

Thanks in advance for your time.

~mark
